Though we were a little slow to step up to green technologies as a whole, the last 5 years have seen incredible growth in that sector.  New building projects are taking a greener route; big business is finding ways to lessen its environmental impact and average citizens like you and I are doing their part by making their homes and their personal choices friendlier to our planet.

Two of these options that have been popular with private residents and the business world are both solar and wind power.  Technology is such that it is no longer a particularly odd sight to see a small wind turbine in the yard down the street or solar panels on your neighbor’s roof. Given this influx of popularity for green choices in residential and business applications, the demand for trained professionals to provide these services and maintenance has exploded. Several colleges throughout the country have begun offering programs such as wind turbine training in an effort to keep up with the growing demand.
